This works great, I love how small it is. I replaced the hopper on the back with an autocrafter facing into the dropper, with a shulkerbox recipe.

So is it bad my left headphone stopped working?

No tileability issues with the piston under the dispencer?

Cool design. Are there any edge cases with the hopper not picking up the shulker?

By now its pretty obvious a lot of old tech has been made obsolete what do you think can be improved like this?

Nice build, but your in-game camera movements are very jerky, and too fast. I'm not complaining, but just giving constructive criticism for improvement.

When the clock stops, there will still be items cycling through the system. These will stay in the hoppers and droppers until the next batch of items is inputted. Having items left in the unlocked hopper behind the chest is annoying when one tries to take out items of the chest, as they will go into the chest the moment there is a free slot. Additionally, because of the long delay from the cobweb, around 29 items will be left in each dropper. This is a big problem because there are only 14 slots between the dropper and hopper, so if a bunch of single items are input, some of them can despawn after the system turns off.

How likely is this due to break due to a miss placed block?

Kinda expensive but it is indeed pretty compact. It would have been nice if it came before whitelister based item sorters. Now, these sorters are dead. They’re not really nice to interact with

Really cool. It looks though like the items ejected by the droppers are just going back into the top of the same slice. I see the hoppers under the barrels pointing to the left, but isn't the item going to prioritise going down to the hopper beneath?

Could you use powdered snow instead of the cobweb? I believe that also cancels the horizontal velocity of items and is not so slow as the cobweb. Awesome design, well done! Thanks for sharing!

u can use water in addition of slab to be able to reach the botom and top chest more easily

think there’s a way to read the filter hopper through a block to take advantage of the recent hopper change where they don’t check for items if they have a full block above them? at a glance I can’t figure out how to invert the signal after the dust it’d displace within the same footprint.

this seems so obvious in hindsight, but until I saw the thumbnail I’d never even thought about doing this. I think it’s a case of assuming that the widely standardized method must already be optimal.

How useful you think are the shorter water streams for you?

nice work as usual! using sand like that is such a simple but clever way to update the dispenser.

hey you missed something about the timings. you also need to power the shulker box hopper for 2gt otherwise the keygen will be unreliable. also you do not need to power it for 4gt you only need to power it for 2gt

I'm trying to build this is in the newest snapshot (23w51b) and I cannot get the rail line to stop flashing. I built the setup you are budding at 11:45, and I tried to set it up by placing redstone blocks in the exact same positions you are, but after breaking the redstone blocks (also in the same order as you did), the rail immediately goes back to flashing. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Nevermind, I didn't realize you had a lever on the solid block at the end... I've been trying to find an instant rail line more compact than Kahyxen's that an observer can read from at any point along the rail. I haven't found a way to have a working instant line without a constant power source like a lever or redstone block in the designs smaller than Kahyxen's (like the designs you showed in this video).
